I stopped by IowaGirlEats this morning, and was thrilled to be reminded that it’s Three Question Thursday! This is a short meme to help us get to know one another a little bit better. So, without further ado, here are today’s questions:
- Do you have any summer vacation plans you’re excited about?
- Would you rather live in a place with seasons, or somewhere that’s warm or cold (if you’re into that!) all year round?
- Is your car clean or messy?
My answers:
- Yep, we are FINALLY going to Missouri to visit Eric’s Dad, Renee and Grandma & Pa Hudson. We haven’t been there since I was pregnant with #2 kiddo. All of the kids will be meeting there, so it should be a great time. The bonus? We get to see baby Stas finally!
- Seasons all the way. I’ve lived where it’s just hot year-round and absolutely hated it (sucks the very life out of a person). I grew up in high desert with 4 definite seasons (20’s in the winter, 100’s in the summer, beautiful spring & autumn) and now live where it’s cool in the winter and not (usually) too hot in the summer. The bonu for living in Washington? I actually LOVE rain. I think Phoenix made that love even stronger. I really, really don’t like hot anymore!
- That depends on who you ask. I think the front is usually pretty clean, but I try not to look into the back seat. That is the domain of two very messy girls, and it’s just frightening. Eric considers the whole car to be a mess though. His car? Spotless. No, seriously. Not a scrap of paper in sight. Nothing is ever consumed inside of it - ever. Well, except for the occasional coffee (pretty rare).

If you were at a friend’s house for a holiday dinner and you found a dead cockroach in your salad, what would you do?
~ well, once I stopped retching, I would politely get their attention (discreetly) and let them know about it.
If you could put anyone you know on Prozac, who would you choose?
~ Honestly, I don’t know. Most of my friends are pretty low-key and normal.
How do you feel about public displays of affection?
~ depends on how “affectionate” they are. Holding hands, walking with arms around each other, a little peck - those are all totally acceptable. Dripping for oil, however (or more) is not. Gag. If the notion enters your mind that perhaps you should get a room… well, do it! and stop making everyone else watch the porno you are living out.

~ When the old one wears out - depends on the individual toothbrush I guess.
What is your favorite item of clothing to shop for?
~ Shoes!

~Yes! I use Twitter & Facebook pretty regularly… and I usually blog pretty regularly too!

Once again, the Manic Monday Meme from Fleur De Lisa…
It’s going to be super-easy this week!
If I was a car, I’d be:
~ Most likely the one I drive… Suby Outback Turbo. Fast, likes to get out in the hills & get dirty, likes to go fast, has plenty of ways to carry everything the family needs, has a decent stereo for music to be pumped out.
If I was a drink, I’d be:
~ this is a tough one, as I don’t have any knowledge in this area. tea? Yes, I know, not the kind of drink intended there…
If I was emotion, I’d be:
~ I thought these were going to be super easy… at the moment I would be frustration, but that isn’t always the case! Life is just a bit frustrating at the moment (had fevers and illnesses in the house for a solid 3+ weeks)

So I’m a couple of hours late, but c’est la vie. Yesterday was a headache-filled day (literally). It started out fun - field trip to see an African Folk Tale performance… but I think the ride in the back of a school bus did me in. Ugh.
Well, here goes…

~ chocolate
What do you like to snack on when you watch a movie?
~ pizza
If you were a Survivor contestant, what would be your luxury item?
~I assume that having watched at least one episode would help with this question… What’s allowed? What’s not? These are questions I have… eye drops would be needed if I couldn’t take my contacts out (although I guess I could wear glasses instead). Migraine meds would be a good thing too - are those allowed?

14 years, 6 months, 11 days (not that I keep track of such things)
2. How long did you know each other before you started dating?
Um, maybe a month… but we didn’t do much more than meet (wasn’t even sure of his name) once we “officially” met, we started dating 2 days later.
3. Who asked who out?
it was kinda mutual, but I think he asked first.
4. How old are each of you?
32 & 38
5. Whose siblings do you see the most?
His, since I don’t have any.
6. Do you have children together?
2 beautiful girls

Nope

Ha, ha, ha - um, no.

Well, he has his master’s, while I just have a BA… but we’ve never done an IQ test.

as a couple? You mean parents get to go out as a couple?
13. Where is the farthest place you have traveled as a couple?
Jamaica
14. Who has the craziest exes?
He has the only one that had to be scared off. Mine had been scared off long before we met.

Depends, sometimes I do, sometime he does, or we do it together (aaaawwwww, so sweet)

Well, we are both trolls, but recently people have been pulling me out more… Too many people too long still exhaust me though.

Most likely that would be me…

He does every day but Sunday.

With family - but they usually come here now

Do you blog?
~ Why, yes, I do! I actually have *ahem* 5 blogs, but I only really pay attention to two-and-a-half. Time issues, interest, etc.
Why do you blog?
~ Well, I started blogging to go along with my handbag business - an easier to get the word out instantly that through the newsletter. Then I added in a gift guide, and a blog was the logical choice to post reviews and ideas. I like to cook, and my SIL likes to get copies of my recipes… I had made her a CD of them, but after a couple of moves it got lost. I also had a computer crash and lost most of them, so I decided to add in a recipe blog so that I could keep track of my fav. recipes and share them with family and friends at the same time. However, once you start blogging, you find that there are times that you have something you want to say, but it just doesn’t quite fit onto a business blog about handbags or a gift review blog… thus the personal blog.
So yes, that equals 5 blogs…
