Just how random am I? – Music
That is a question that I will attempt to answer simply by using my iTunes acct… if I added in Eric’s also, well, it would just get too random, too weird. Trust me on that one. 1 too many SXSW downloads hanging out over there + his ever-constant search for new music. Yep, Eric’s iTunes is at least half again larger than mine… I think.
the meme…
Number of Songs = 1225
Number of Albums = 465
Most Recently Played Song = Nessun Dorma – Turandot – Puccini – Ben Heppner
Most Played Song = Desert Song – Hillsong United
Most Recently Added Album = Unseen- Lori Cunningham
First Song Alphabetically = “Abandoned” – Anchorage (artist) – Heavenly Voices part 2
Last Song Alphabetically = “Zion” – Gretchen – In The Mean Time
Smallest Song Numerically = “3 Libras” – A Perfect Circle
Largest Song Numerically = “2000 Miles” The Pretenders
Shortest Song = “The Mustard” – Buffy The Vampire Slayer – Once More, With Feeling
- well, technically “Bonus Track” by Quiet By Ten, but that’s an empty 0.04…
Longest Song = “Horizon” – Rachael Yamagata – Elephants… Teeth Sinking Into Heart
First Album Alphabetically = A_CROSS // The_EARTH: Tear Down the Walls
Last Album Alphabetically = Your Love Never Fails – Jesus Culture (although Zooropa by U2 is downstairs on CD)
Smallest Album Numerically = 7 Essential Songs Of Hillsong United (only have 1 song tho)
Largest Album Numerically = 100th Window – Massive Attack (again, only 1 song)
First 5 Songs That Come Up In Shuffle =
… Bug – Mandy Moore
… Lightforms – The Daysleepeers
… What If I – Kristy Thirsk
… Miseryland – Fisher
… Does Anybody Know – Jag Star
Funny that the first 5 songs to come up are songs that I barely even recognize! At least I know the artists.
Of course, this does leave out the 2 shelves worth of classical & opera music cd’s that are on our CD rack – which, coincidentally holds around 1000 cd’s. Nope, I haven’t loaded too many of the cd’s onto the computer since the last crash in March. iTunes is merely a sampling of what I’ve downloaded in the past 4 months since the most recent hard drive crash (well, plus what I was able to recover.) iTunes, Amazon & Pandora Jam have done well over the past few months. Sadly, my most played song has only been played only 40 times. That doesn’t include the songs played on the iPod… I guarantee that has a different top played song (namely, “Where You Go I Go” by Kim Walker)
If I were to add in the cd’s, there would be substantially more U2, The Cure, and Projekt albums hanging out in here, along with some fun 4AD bands. Oh, and some of the better fringe ’80′s stuff that we just can’t let go of yet (think Ultravox, Japan, Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys and the like).
Random? Yep, but I like it all! Well, most of them anyway…
Now to get Eric to post HIS iTunes list… eclectic? much more than mine… but fun to listen to.
